Randy Lack General Manager Global Industries - Public Edge | Computer Vision, Dell Technologies

Randy manages the Vertical Edge & Computer Vision team globally for Dell Technologies. Prior to joining the Dell Technologies team Randy held a position with an intelligent video storage and scale-out solutions company overseeing operations in the Americas. Before that, he worked with a major VMS, camera and analytics manufacturer as a video surveillance expert in design and implementation. 

Randy is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton with a Degree in Business Finance. He is a former LAPD Gang, Narcotics and SWAT officer. After leaving law enforcement Randy transitioned to a career in the Security and Surveillance space where he has spent 21 years. His experience spans working with Global Security Integrators both in commercial and retail sectors with a focus on Fortune 1000 accounts and large enterprise accounts.

Dr. Barry Norton, VP of Research, Milestone Systems

Barry Norton is Milestone’s VP of Research. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and academic post-doctoral research, with teaching experience at universities of London, Innsbruck and Karlsruhe, as well as further doctoral-level teaching at UC Berkeley, Kings and UCL, and University of Oxford.  

Prior to joining Milestone in 2018 he was Head of Digital Platform at Maersk, and Deputy Head of Data Science for Analytics at Elsevier. His personal research area is in AI/Knowledge Representation, including ontologies and knowledge graphs.  

Members of his team also carry out R&D on AI/Computer Vision, synthetic data for training and performance/bias evaluation, and multimodal data fusion from video and IoT.

Thomas Jensen, CEO, Milestone Systems

Thomas Jensen joined Milestone Systems in October 2020 as CEO. Prior to that, he spent two years in Barcelona and five years in Silicon Valley in California in various management roles within the technology industry.

 

He has an international mindset and a leadership style where cultural differences and a People First approach play crucial roles.

 

Thomas has solid experience with international expansion, global channel development, and go-to-market strategies. In Spain, he was Executive Vice President at Bechtle, which is Europe’s largest IT integrator company, and in the U.S. he was Head of Worldwide Channel Sales Strategy at HP. In fact, during the separation of Hewlett-Packard into HP Inc. and HP Enterprise, Thomas oversaw the channel separation and was responsible for preparing the new strategy and organization. ​

Before moving to the U.S., Thomas was General Manager for HP’s PC& Print Division in Denmark and prior to that held various leadership positions within Vestas and Maersk.

Christoph Schell is the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of the Sales, Marketing and Communications teams at Intel Corporation.

In his role, Schell oversees Intel’s global sales, business management, marketing, communications, corporate planning, customer support and customer success teams, leading the company’s efforts to foster innovative go-to-market approaches that broaden Intel’s business opportunities and deepen customer and partner relationships and outcomes worldwide.

Schell joined Intel in March 2022 from HP Inc., where he was Chief Commercial Officer. During his 25 years with the company, Schell held various senior management roles across the globe, including president of 3D Printing& Digital Manufacturing. Prior to rejoining HP in 2014, Schell served as Executive Vice President of Growth Markets for Philips, where he led the lighting business across Asia Pacific, Japan, Africa, Russia, India, Central Asia and the Middle East.

He started his career in his family’s distribution and industrial solutions company before working in brand management at Procter & Gamble. Schell holds bachelor’s degrees from ESB Reutlingen in Germany and École Supérieure de Commerce de Reims in France. He is fluent in German, English and French.
